Every small act of kindness creates a ripple of positive change.

MannMukti translates to “mental liberation” in Hindi. Its mission is to encourage healthy, open dialogue of South Asian mental health issues in an effort to remove stigma, improve awareness and promote self-care.

How we work

We collaborate with local communities, volunteers, and donors to achieve our goal of making a meaningful impact on people's lives. Our non-profit organization strives to make a positive difference in society by supporting those in need.

Proofing our impact

We are committed to transparency and accountability which is why we regularly share our impact reports with our donors. Our non-profit organization's work is evidence-based, and we consistently strive to improve our impact through innovative solutions.

At Ignite Asha, selecting the right beneficiary is at the heart of our mission—and we don’t take that responsibility lightly. Each year, our Beneficiary Co-Chairs lead a rigorous selection process that begins with a detailed application and vetting procedure. With the support of our Beneficiary Outreach team, we conduct in-person site visits to assess the organization’s leadership, transparency, impact, and alignment with our mission. It’s an intensive, thoughtful process grounded in integrity and designed to ensure we’re partnering with nonprofits that are ready to grow and create meaningful, lasting change.Once selected, our commitment doesn’t end with a check. We offer multi-year grants—typically over four to five years—ensuring sustained support and stability for the nonprofit. Throughout this partnership, we maintain ongoing communication and financial transparency. We track where every dollar goes, measure impact along the way, and work closely with our partners to maximize the effectiveness of our donors’ contributions. It’s not just about funding a cause—it’s about fueling transformation with accountability and trust at every step.
Breaking the Stigma

MannMukti is a storytelling and mental health advocacy platform aimed at destigmatizing conversations around mental wellness in South Asian communities. Founded in 2017, it encourages people to speak openly about mental health through personal narratives, podcasts, events, and community resources, with a focus on increasing awareness, compassion, and access to help.

University Chapters

With Ignite Asha’s support, MannMukti has been able to expand its University Chapters Program, which empowers students to create safe spaces on campus for open dialogue about mental health. These chapters host workshops, awareness events, and peer-to-peer discussions that break cultural taboos and connect students with resources. By investing in this initiative, Ignite Asha helps equip young leaders to normalize conversations about mental health and foster a culture of empathy and support within South Asian communities across college campuses.
