At Ignite Asha, selecting the right beneficiary is at the heart of our mission—and we don’t take that responsibility lightly. Each year, our Beneficiary Co-Chairs lead a rigorous selection process that begins with a detailed application and vetting procedure. With the support of our Beneficiary Outreach team, we conduct in-person site visits to assess the organization’s leadership, transparency, impact, and alignment with our mission. It’s an intensive, thoughtful process grounded in integrity and designed to ensure we’re partnering with nonprofits that are ready to grow and create meaningful, lasting change.Once selected, our commitment doesn’t end with a check. We offer multi-year grants—typically over four to five years—ensuring sustained support and stability for the nonprofit. Throughout this partnership, we maintain ongoing communication and financial transparency. We track where every dollar goes, measure impact along the way, and work closely with our partners to maximize the effectiveness of our donors’ contributions. It’s not just about funding a cause—it’s about fueling transformation with accountability and trust at every step.
Save A Mother's Mission

Save A Mother is a nonprofit focused on improving maternal, neonatal, and child health in underserved communities by addressing gaps in awareness, access, and behavior. Since 2008, the organization has implemented a simple but powerful “demand-side” approach—training volunteer health activists, using storytelling and social persuasion, and partnering with public health systems—to bring sustainable change. This model has led to dramatic reductions in maternal mortality, increased infant survival, and widespread adoption of preventive practices like antenatal care, immunization, and family planning.

Arogya Sakhis

Ignite Asha supports Save A Mother’s mission by helping expand these life-saving programs in India’s most vulnerable regions. Volunteer “Arogya Sakhis” (health friends) visit homes, share vital health messages, and follow up on high-risk cases, bridging the gap between families and formal medical care. With scalable, low-cost interventions, Save A Mother has reached millions across thousands of villages—empowering communities to take ownership of healthier maternal and child outcomes.
