How we work

We collaborate with local communities, volunteers, and donors to achieve our goal of making a meaningful impact on people's lives. Our non-profit organization strives to make a positive difference in society by supporting those in need.

Proofing our impact

We are committed to transparency and accountability which is why we regularly share our impact reports with our donors. Our non-profit organization's work is evidence-based, and we consistently strive to improve our impact through innovative solutions.

At Ignite Asha, selecting the right beneficiary is at the heart of our mission—and we don’t take that responsibility lightly. Each year, our Beneficiary Co-Chairs lead a rigorous selection process that begins with a detailed application and vetting procedure. With the support of our Beneficiary Outreach team, we conduct in-person site visits to assess the organization’s leadership, transparency, impact, and alignment with our mission. It’s an intensive, thoughtful process grounded in integrity and designed to ensure we’re partnering with nonprofits that are ready to grow and create meaningful, lasting change.Once selected, our commitment doesn’t end with a check. We offer multi-year grants—typically over four to five years—ensuring sustained support and stability for the nonprofit. Throughout this partnership, we maintain ongoing communication and financial transparency. We track where every dollar goes, measure impact along the way, and work closely with our partners to maximize the effectiveness of our donors’ contributions. It’s not just about funding a cause—it’s about fueling transformation with accountability and trust at every step.
Rescue Foundation Protective Home in Delhi

After 20 Years of working in the State of Maharashtra, Rescue Foundation Delhi decided to build a Protective Home on the outskirts of the city of Delhi, the capital of India. Delhi is the first point of entry for Women & Girls from the neighboring areas in the North as well as from the East and Central States such as West Bengal, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh.

The Delhi Home was built in 2018 and has a capacity to shelter 75 Children . It's a Home for Major & Minor Girls rescued from Child Labor, run away children, girls who are victims of Child Sexual Offences. Few of the girls are also victims of begging.

Besides having a license for Children in Care & Protection, it also has a license for Short Stay Facility for Women, Girls and Children. Thus it provides immediate safe and short term shelter for Women and Girls who are referred by the Local Police and Govt Agencies. These may be women, girls who are victims of domestic violence or children in need of Care & Protection for a short term.

There is a constant in and out flow of survivors, most of them being Minor Girls. On a daily basis we see children who are victims of Child Labor, Child Sexual Offences and Run Away Kids being sheltered. Besides providing food and shelter the Home provides regular counseling for families towards reunification.

We have witnessed children who have been abused, violated by family members sent to factories where they work for long hours in dangerous environments, or sold in brothels, dance bars or forced to marry by their family members. Many times they are part of broken or abusive homes, being victims of abuse, neglect at the hands of the males in the house. Some of these children have themselves called the Child Helplines and complained about their parents. Often they do not wish to go back to the family, but as Minors there is a need to build family relationships and unite with their families.

Rescue Operations

The Delhi Rescue Team conducts regular rescue operations in partnership with the local Anti Human Trafficking Units and local NGO Partners. These Rescue Operations are carried out in Delhi, Haryana, Bihar and few of the Northern States of India. Most of our rescued boys and girls are Minors, victims of Child Labor, Girls sold to Brothels, Local Orchestra where they are forced to dance and are also abused, kidnapped.

Rescue Foundation conducts regular vocation training, meditation, health monitoring, counseling, and both formal and non formal education. We have around 6 girls who attend regular school and college. 24 of the girls are preparing to be enrolled in Formal School and being coached separately.

Regular counseling of the children and their families is conducted before these children are handed over during family reunification.
